Hello everyone! Dillon upgrade info

Reb,
I am loading on a single stage Redding and was looking at the LNL (after watching all of Highboys videos) but see that he and many others have seemed to shy away from that press in favor of the Dillon. I only load 9mm,38/357, and 10 MM in handgun and 223.308 in rifle at this point. Any words of advise from the Forum members on progressive press prefferences?

Once I started running Dillon I found I was fiddling less with adjusting this and adjusting that. Case mouths don't hit on the case mouths, powder hopper stays tight, linkage does not come loosened, timing is perfect, priming systems are rock solid. I prefer my Dillon machines.

I love my 550. I’m very happy with it. You will go through a lot more components then your used to though. A brick of primers seems to disappear, but the piles of ammo are great!
Look around and you may find a deal on a used one. The warranty is still the same.
Good luck,
David

Motor953,
My plan is to sell my Hornady Lnl and purchase a Dillon XL750 or XL650 when funds are available.

Which Redding press are you using?
I also have a Redding T7 Turret press, which I use for most of my reloading for 45 Colt, 44 mag/44 Spl, 45 acp, 40 S&W, 9 mm, 38 Spl/357 Mag, 223/5.56, 243, 300 Blkout, 30-30, 308/7.62, 30-06, 45-70. I also have an Rcbs Rock Chucker which I use as my depriming station.

If I could only have one reloading press it would be my Redding T7 Turret press!!! It's slower than the progressive but it works for my needs. I also use the Redding Instant Indicator/Comparator with dial and Reddings Competition Shell holders in 223 and 308.

For more information check out Highboys video series on the T7 and Redding Instant Indicator/Comparator and Competition shell holders.
